First, let me explain the title…
- I just finished updating all of our websites to WordPress 3.8, the latest and yes, I think, the greatest update in all my years of using this phenomenal piece of software. The development life cycle is moving rapidly with so many great contributions, something that is only possible with its worldwide audience of contributors and users.
- I am working already on child themes for Twenty Fourteen, the new standard theme brought out with 3.8. I have developed a number of website based on Twenty Twelve because I find that the default often proves to be an excellent foundation.
- I am so pleased that I discover I had missed seeing an addition to the Publicize feature of Jetpack: automatic publication to Google Plus! This eliminates yet another manual step I would have to take to post my current ramblings there.
So as the day goes by, I will return to tweaking the theme, writing, and getting things back in order with the new look and added audience. Right now, there are more important things to do sans keyboard.
